But I didn't. Quitting smoking is the hardest thing I've ever tried to do. The cravings just keep popping up, even after long absences. Time to maybe consider hypnosis or something.
Wanted to share info on a cool Web site for quitters called www.committedquitters.com that I’m finding really useful. It provides support that’s tailored to your individual needs. When I signed up, it asked me tons of questions about my smoking habits (annoying at first – but there’s a reason for it) then it gave me a personalized quit strategy that’s really helping me through times when I’m tempted to smoke. I found out about it when I bought some patches but since I signed up, it’s being offered it free. I really encourage anyone thinking of quitting to sign up…..it’s a really cool tool! Good luck!
I would really recommend the audio CD's "The Easy Way to Stop Smoking" by Allen Carr. I was a confirmed smoker for 15 years and had no desire to quit (other than the typical health/money motivators). After listening to these CD's (there are 5 of them), it was insanely easy to quit. I have pangs now and again, but they are so minimal after all of the brainwashing was removed. I no longer felt like I was "depriving" my body of a cigarette. Rather, I was starting a new path to a healthier me. Its all in the the thinking. I used no stop smoking aides like patches or gum. I just STOPPED SMOKING and enjoyed doing it. Thank God I found this useful tool! I only wish I could spread the word to more people!

Hi. I just found your blog. I have a similar blog about quitting smoking. I'm on my 102 day smoke free. You can totally do this! Stay strong.
Stop by and check me out sometime if you want. It always helps to quit with someone else.

Good luck to you! I've got a blog post about a couple of facts about nicotine that are largely ignored, but have been very helpful to me.
