Complete breakdown
I had a complete breakdown because I went out drinking with my friends and I smoked probably a good pack in about 10 hours. Now it's the next day and I'm sick about it, and I don't want one. What was I thinking?
The TRUE test of my being quit smoking is when I can go out into old social scenes and not HAVE to have a smoke. I hope that is soon.

I'm sorry to hear your attempt at quitting hasn't been going so well. I've been smoke-free for 3 weeks now myself, and it IS hard to do. My best recommendations are to use an aid like the nicotine gum or patch (I prefer the gum cause it gives you something to do too) and maybe avoid people and situations that will make you want to smoke, at least for a while. If you smoke when you're with your friends or when you go out for drinks, rent some movies and stay in for a week or so. Explain to your friends so they're not offended of course, and hopefully they'll be supportive. I hope you keep trying and I wish you good luck! Check out my quit smoking forum blog at http://thequitters.blogspot.com to hear about my as-yet successful stab at quitting and hopefully pick up a few tips :)
